CRELHC is a real estate company in the State of IL set up as its sole purpose to hold real estate licenses. While in the holding company, licensees can keep their license active, work on a referral basis, and do not have to pay any state, national, local or MLS dues. However, they are no longer able to practice real estate.

If you’re taking a break from practicing real estate, then joining CRELHC will save you time and money. Avoid paying association dues and insurance fees by putting your license on hold. We also manage all the administrative aspects of your license, saving you time and headaches.

CRELHC charges an annual fee of $90 to hold your license and annually on October 1st. The IDFPR charges a transfer fee of $35 and collects that fee separately.

No, the only cost associated with putting your license on hold is your annual $90.00 payment to CRELHC. You will not have to pay dues to the MLS or any real estate associations, however you are still required to complete Continuing Education.
Referral Questions

Typically referral fees is 25% and CRELHC will pay out to you as the referring agent or broker 80% of that 25%.
For Example: your client makes a purchase of a $450,000 home. If the total commission earned by the referred agent is $11,250, CRELHC, at the closing, receives a check for 25% or $2,812.50 and from that we pay you 80% or $2,250.

Yes! CRELHC has direct access to a roster of qualified and experienced agents whom you can expect to complete successful transactions via their affiliation with Pearson Realty Group.

Yes. In order to keep your license active in the State of IL, you still need to maintain your Continuing Education or CE requirements in order to keep you license active.

Not directly. While you can still generate income from referring clients, any direct involvement in real estate transactions is prohibited while your license on hold.

As your license will be taken out of active broker/REALTOR® practice, you will no longer have access to the MLS.

No. A Real Estate Broker licensee cannot work for more than one managing broker at the same time.

To apply for a license click Create/Continue Application - Real Estate Board - Licensed Real Estate Broker ($150 one-time non-refundable fee)
License Look Up - CRELHC License number: 481013947 (you will need this to complete your application or transfer through the IDFPR)
